About Us

Xsquared Architects is a leading Tasmanian architectural design firm, currently managing a diverse range of projects in both living and working environments.

Our core business is in the commercial and institutional sectors. We are specialists in sustainable, energy efficient design – using the latest technology and low environmental impact materials to design spaces that will work comfortably and efficiently for many years into the future. Xsquared Architects can take a lead role in achieving Green Star certification.

In addition to outstanding technical expertise we have extensive project management capabilities. We can advise you on the range of complex issues associated with building design legislation, and help you to drive even the most demanding project all the way to completion.

Keith is a former State President of the RAIA and continues to hold a number of key positions within the RAIA and Property Council of Australia. He has exemplary design and project management experience, and heads up our design teams for large and complex projects.

Peter Scott Director

Peter is chair of the RAIA National Sustainability Committee. He brings extensive international experience to the practice and is able to apply his specialist knowledge of sustainable and energy efficient design across the full range of projects.

Alex Newman Associate
RAIA

Alex is a project architect with many years of design, management and project team leadership experience. He is able to provide comprehensive schematic 3-D modelling and visualisation at all scales and stages to help facilitate design resolution and statutory approvals.

Jason Wallom Manager Project Services

Jason is an architectural technician and building designer with many years of experience and an extensive knowledge of construction technology, in particular in the area of individual and multi-residential projects.

Kate Morrow

Kate is an architectural technician with many years of experience and an extensive knowledge of construction technology, in particular in the area of large projects. She also manages our IT, CAD and BIM systems and in-house CAD training.

Cyrus Chan

Cyrus is our architectural graduate, now taking on as much as he can in order to learn the ropes of our complex industry. He has a particular interest in Green Star principles and drives a yellow mini.

Shane Cox

Shane is a project architect with many years’ experience in the successful delivery of buildings across all stages of a project. His strong attention to detailing and quality control ensure project objectives are met. Shane is a Chapter Councillor with the Tasmanian Chapter and member of the state AIA Practice Committee. Shane also sits on the Corpus Christi Catholic School Advisory Board.

Seugnet Viljoen

Seugnèt is currently a Master of Architecture student, and maintains a special interest in parametric architecture. She has a passionate commitment to the production of architecture of this time, fused with a sensitive contemporary design approach, to create rich and fulfilling architectural experiences.
